Free Access to Rest Stops on the Islands for the Day
Several rest stops have been created on the reservoir’s islands. Ideal destinations for having a picnic, swimming, or getting a tan on the beach. However, sleeping there overnight is strictly forbidden. Dogs on leashes are welcome. Have a look at the park’s map to find them.
Discover the art piece “Faire le vide”
Perched atop a rocky cape, a wooden cube stands out from the landscape at Rest stop #22. Inside, a curved space suggests a dialogue with the mysterious natural openings in the surrounding rock faces. This sculpture offers an immersive experience, encouraging us to rediscover nature, immerse ourselves in the beauty of the present moment and let ourselves be transported by the poetry of our surroundings. Designed by artist Luca Fortin and Atelier Mock-up, “Faire le vide” is an unusual cultural destination in nature.
*This project was made possible thanks to financial support from the Quebec government and the Antoine-Labelle MRC under the 2021-2023 Cultural Development Agreement.
