Bouldering and Deep Water Solo

Blocs des pères

The first bouldering site to be developed at Poisson Blanc (2022), this sector contains two large walls offering beginner, intermediate, and advanced climbers a dozen problems in a variety of styles. Accessible by boat in less than 30 minutes from the reception area, the site’s proximity makes it ideal for an outdoor bouldering day trip!

The shade provided by the canopy makes climbing possible even in the heavy July heat, and picnic tables near the boulders give you the chance to have a snack between two attempts. The perfect recipe to nail your projects!

Blocs du Chenal

Developed in the fall of 2022, the Blocs du Chenal sector offers a dozen problems all grouped together on a single massive boulder. Set in the heart of a luminous clearing, this giant rock offers a diversity of styles that will appeal to intermediate and advanced climbers alike.

Technical crossings, ridge compressions, narrow slats, vertical highballs on small scrapes, an overhanging ledge, wowza! There’s something for everyone at Blocs du Chenal!
The clear space around the boulder allows several groups to set up comfortably without getting in each other’s way.

Accessible only by watercraft. Allow 2h45 in a canoe from the reception area and 5 minutes to walk the approach trail.

Crash Pads Available on Site

To accommodate climbers, crash pads will be available free of charge in a shed near the boulders. All we ask is to have consideration for the next climbers and put them away properly once the session is over. If you already own one, you can bring it with you. However, it’s important to bear in mind that they will take up a lot of space in the watercraft.

Psicobloc du Chenal

The only activity of its kind in Quebec, deep water soloing is a type of climbing where the landing is… in the water! By canoe, kayak, or SUP, you get to the edge of the cliff before jumping into the water to begin the bouldering problem. The depth of the reservoir around the cliff and the absence of submerged rocks mean that you can enjoy your activity in complete safety.

With friends or family, come and enjoy the only cliffs of this style to be approved by the FQME. It’s the perfect way to get a dose of adrenalin and cool off when the summer heat kicks in.
